I do a lot of my work on the beaches here in Hawaii.  Its a great place to take family portraits, and a great environment to shoot children.  This session was very productive.  I must have shot about 5oo images of the Frey family.

One of the challenges to shooting family portraits on the beach is keeping the other beach goers out of the image.  I like to call these people “New Family Members.”  Todays challenge was to keep the bright red sign showing “High Surf Advisory” out of the pictures.  At the end of the session I thought to get the little boy over by the sign.  I got these great images out of it.
Each location presents its own challenges and opportunities.  As with life, you make the best with what you have to work with.
